SunSystems Integration – See all your data in one place

SunSystems integration completely eliminates the time-consuming process of switching systems and worrying about your data being locked in disparate platforms.

With it, you can seamlessly integrate your company’s systems, connect your essential business operations together, and get a bird’s eye view of all your data in a single, centralised place — even if it originates from other systems.

This makes it easy to keep track of all transactions necessary for financial reporting and eradicates the need for time-consuming Excel modifications and manual postings in your accounting software, saving you time and reducing the risk of error.

Powerful SunSystems Enhancement from
UniFi

UniFi, an innovative suite of SunSystems Enhancement, comes with a powerful middleware and integration solution that allows users to connect all their systems and control data movement through advanced APIs.

It has a flexible data connector builder that enables users to connect to accounting, ERP, CRM, HR and other business systems.

UniFi eliminates manual data entry, increases accuracy and efficiency, facilitates real-time decision-making, and provides a single source of truth for the entire organisation in a secure and US/UK SOX-compliant way.

Are you currently connecting to SunSystems API using a third-party application?

If so, it’s likely that you are connected to SunSystems using its underlying database. With the launch of SunSystems cloud, all direct database connections will close, which means your third-party application may no longer be able to connect to SunSystems.

Your third-party application may have to be re-developed to connect to SunSystems API as opposed to direct database access.

The good news is that UniFi has been written from the ground up to connect to SunSystems using best practices, with secure and future-proofed API integration.

UniFi always uses the official API for each product to ensure continued support and operations.

Within SunSystems, there are three distinct integration choices

SunSystems allows you to track budget by project, compare to actuals, and create donor and grant reports. Staff can access critical data from anywhere and view databases at the same time, which allows everyone to always work with the most up-to-date information.

Excel Reporting

The Excel reporting solution for SunSystems, which is the most basic option, also lets you map and import data from an Excel sheet. This is a good option if your source system’s data is not imported very frequently or, perhaps, requires a manual check. This integration option is easy to learn and set up, which means end users can easily do it from their end.

SunSystems Transfer Desk

SunSystems Transfer Desk is another option. This is a core module that can be scheduled to automatically look for files generated by another system. The process of data preparation, transformation, lookups, validation and posting into SunSystems can then be completed without any user involvement. End users can also manage modifications to the integration themselves.

SunSystems Connect

The third and final level of integration is SunSystems Connect, which is an optional API module for SunSystems. SunSystems Connect enables business systems to communicate with one another in real-time. It is developed in Java and published through XML messages. Seasoned developers are responsible for maintaining the API.

Other Systems Integration

We also support the use of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for integration where the other system is unable to provide a file or does not support API usage.

SSIS can be used to assist with a wide range of data migration activities, including extracting data from another system, transforming it, and then conveying it to SunSystems.

All the SunSystems integration tools support the uploading of both transactional data as well as standing data such as account codes, analysis, suppliers, and customers.

SunSystems can integrate with any system as long as the system contains enough information to create a transaction or record, or the information can be logically worked out.
