About the role
The Pre-Sales Consultant at FinanSys acts as a trusted advisor to customers, combining deep product and financial systems expertise with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Similar to a Solution Consultant in an IT environment, this role bridges the gap between customer business needs and FinanSys solutions, supporting pre-sales activities, customer engagement, and long-term value realization.
The role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Support teams to design, demonstrate, and position solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes for clients.
Role responsibilities :
- Engage with customers to understand business challenges, requirements, and success criteria.
- Translate customer needs into well-designed FinanSys solutions, aligned with best practice.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support pre-sales activities, including solution design and responses to RFPs and tenders.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on FinanSys financial systems and related technologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
About the candidate
Essential Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
- Solid business and financial acumen, particularly around accounting processes and challenges.
- Significant experience in a client-facing role (e.g. pre-sales, consulting, services, or support).
- Deep, demonstrable knowledge of Infor SunSystems Financials (or a closely comparable product).
- Excellent written English, particularly for proposals and documentation.
- Indepth software presentations form a significant aspect of the role.
Nice to have skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, sales-driven IT or software environment.
- Broader SunSystems functionality (e.g. allocations, order fulfilment, inventory).
- SunCloud, Infor OS, ION, or Data Management experience.
- Knowledge of companion or complementary products (e.g. PA, Sharperlight).
- Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI or machine learning.
